Below is a video of me modeling play with Mr. Potato Head. I make a few mistakes when I’m talking and pointing (I mixed up ear and eyes), BUT I left it in the video. Why? Because it’s important for everyone to see that communication using any modality (AAC, speech, ASL) doesn’t have to be perfect. When we make mistakes it lets the user know it’s okay to make mistakes, and if we repair these goofs then we are demonstrating to them how to make repairs. This is a HUGE and hard to teach skill. Don’t be afraid to try!
Where do I find the zoom backgrounds?
